Browsing your Dropbox photos, your own tags and albums, People you've named, and searching by filename, folder or date are all free and always will be. A subscription adds search by image content, album suggestions and automatic people grouping.
One credit indexes one photo, once. Your plan includes a monthly allowance that doesn't roll over; purchased credits never expire and stay with your account even if you cancel. Photos are indexed newest first, and anything not yet indexed is shown to you rather than quietly missing from results.
